DUSHANBE, September 2, 2013, Asia-Plus – In the area of Aq-Chechek village of Batkent Province of Kyrgyzstan, four citizens of Tajikistan have been detained, who had firearms.

RFE/RL Kyrgyz service reports that based on preliminary information, Tajik citizens were on the territory of Kyrgyzstan ostensibly to hunt.

In her interview to Azattyq, representative of the Kyrgyz Border Service press office, Sajida Chakalaeva, reported that many types of firearms were found on them, including two sniper guns. All the detained Tajik citizens were dressed in camouflage uniforms.

Now they are charged illegal border crossing and illegal hunting. State Committee for National Security is investigating their case.

Tajik Border Service of the National Security Committee is not commenting on the incident.
