DUSHANBE, September 5, 2013, Asia-Plus – After the beginning of the anti-IRPT propaganda in Tajikistan through state TV stations, the number of members leaving the Islamic Revival Party has increased.

Vahidkhan Qasiddinov, the Head of IRPT apparatus, told Asia-Plus that 57 people left the Party in August (while in July only a handful left the Party and 75 joined the Party), and 75 new members joined IRPT.

Mr. Qasiddinov said: “Those who were under pressure or threats. Meanwhile, according to our statistics, the number of new registered Party members is increasing.”
