DUSHANBE, September 5, 2013, Asia-Plus – United States Undersecretary of Defense, Michael Vickers, made his first trip to Central Asia, and had a short-term visit to some of the region”s countries. The US Embassy in Tajikistan reported about this.
The Embassy reported: “On Wednesday, 5 September, during his visit in Tajikistan, Mr. Vickers met with Tajik government and US Embassy officials to discuss security issues of mutual concern.”
It is stressed that the US Defense Department is ready to support the stability and security of the Central Asian region.
