DUSHANBE, September 26, 2013, Asia-Plus — Four persons were killed and at least six others were injured in four traffic accidents that were reported in the country on September 25.

The Interior Ministry’s website reports driver of a Starex minivan, Nazmi Alibekov, 29, failed to control the minivan and it went into oncoming traffic and rammed into a house.  The minibus with eight passengers on board was driving from Khorog to Dushanbe.  The accident took place at the Vahdat Township at 3:00 am.  The driver died on the spot and three his passengers sustained various injuries and were hospitalized.

Three other fatal traffic accidents took place in the northern Sughd province.  In Panjakent, a seven-year-old boy died after being hit by a car.  One died and two others were injured as two cars collided with each other in the city of Istaravshan.  In Khujand, one person died and one other was injured after being hit by a car, the Interior Ministry’s website said.
