DUSHANBE, November 29, Asia-Plus — The State Committee on Investments and State-owned Property Management (GosKomInvest) is currently preparing amendments to the country’s law “On Inspection of Economic Entities in the Republic of Tajikistan.”
The main objective of making amendments to the law is in streamlining the process of inspection of economic entities, a source at GosKomInvest said.
According to him, they have received many complaints about frequent inspections. “We intend to streamline the inspection process and rid honest taxpayers of frequent unfounded inspections,” the source said.
GosKomInvest is expected to submit the amendments for consideration to the parliament at the end of the year.
The law on inspection of economic entities establishes inspection procedures, stipulates the rights and obligations of economic entities and executives of inspection bodies and is aimed at protection of their activities from unlawful interference.
Under Article 10 (Frequency of Inspection of Economic Entities) each inspection body shall carry out no more than one inspection of economic entities in two years, except for the cases envisaged in the Part 2 of this Article and Parts 1,2 and 3 of the Article 15 of this Law.
Different frequency can be determined for inspection of economic entities with higher level of risk, it can be more than once a year, however, no more than once in six months.
