DUSHANBE, November 30, 2013, Asia-Plus – A November 30 government session, presided over by President Emomali Rahmon, has discussed and endorsed the national investment, grant and capital development program designed for 2014-2016.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, the program provides for implementation of 120 projects for a total amount of 15.8 billion U.S. dollars.
The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade was ordered to work out the forecast of the development of macroeconomic indicators for 2014-2016.
The government also discussed and approved the state-owned property privatization program designed for 2014-2016.
Speaking at the meeting, President Rahmon urged to take measures to speed up designing and constructing the Tajik section of the rail link connecting Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, power transmission line under the CASA 1000 Project, and introducing the Dushnabe-2 combined heat and power (CHP) plant into operation.
