DUSHANBE, February 28, 2014, Asia-Plus — Asadullo Zoyirov, who was appointed the head of Tajik Railways (Tajik state railway company) in early February has resigned of his own accord, a source at Tajik Railways told Asia-plus Friday afternoon.

Komil Mirzoaliyev, formerly the first deputy head of Tajik Railways, replaced Asadullo Zoyirov.

Mirzoaliyev was appointed the first deputy head of Tajik Railways on February 20, replacing Vladimir Sobkalov, reportedly retired on a pension for age reasons. 

Before that, Mirzoaliyev had served as director of Guest House Tajikistan in Moscow

We will recall that President Emomali Rahmon sacked the Tajik Railways Company Amonullo Hukumatullo on February 4 amid an ongoing controversy over the alleged involvement of the latter”s son in a deadly driving incident.  He was replaced by Asadullo Zoyirov, who had previously headed the road-building unit in Qurghon Teppa, Khatlon province.
