DUSHANBE, July 13, 2014, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon convened on July 12 a meeting in Dushanbe of senior representatives of the energy sector, researchers and experts to discuss issues related to taking preparations to ensure the regular work of the country’s energy sector during autumn-winter 2014-2015.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, a special attention was paid to timely repairing and maintenance of the power systems and preparation of fuel stocks (fuel oil, coals, and liquefied gas).
Issues related to providing the country’s energy independence, use of energy-saving technologies and ways to reduce technical power losses were also discussed at the meeting.
