Tajik President, Emamali Rahman, sent a congratulatory telegram to the Pakistani Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day.

According to the President’s press-service, President Rahman underlined in his message that Tajikistan and Pakistan share common historical and cultural roots.

The President’s message notes: “Tajikistan looks on optimistically at the perspective of developing relations with Pakistan in the economic, trade, cultural, educational and security spheres, and is certain that through mutual efforts in the near future the relations will be raised to a new level in the interests of both nations.”
