DUSHANBE, March 2, 2015, Asia-Plus – Shermuhammad Shohiyon, the head of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER), told reporters in Dushanbe o March 2 that members of the Communist Party of Tajikistan (CPT) have won elections in two single-mandate constituencies in the northern province of Sughd.

“Ibrohim Abdullozoda, ex-mayor of the city of Istaravshan, has won election in the Istaravshan constituency and Jabbor Ahmadov won election in the Bobojonghafourov district,” the CCER head noted.

Meanwhile, CPT leader Shodi Shabdolov says Jabbor Ahmadov was read out of the party last year for gross violation of the party rules.

“As far as the ex-mayor of Istaravshan Ibrohim Abdullozoda is concerned, he has not participated in the party work and I would call him pseudo-Communist,” Shabdolov told Asia-Plus in an interview.
