DUSHANBE, April 20, 2015, Asia-Plus – An official source at the Tajik government says Tajik President Emomali Rahmon is receiving Zhang Chunxian, the China Communist Party Secretary for the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR), today.

They are reportedly expected to discuss a broad range of issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and China in various fields.

After the one-to-one talks with Zhang Chunxian, Rahmon will receive the China Communist Party delegation.

During the Chinese delegation’s visit to Tajikistan, construction of four schools and power transmission line will start in the country under financial support of the Chinese government, the source said.

Zhang Chunxian is a Chinese politician and a current member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China.  Since 2010 he has served as the Communist Party Secretary for the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.  From 2005 to 2010 he was the Party Secretary of Hunan Province.
