Dushanbe. 21 August. “Asia Plus” — The Human Rights Commissioner in Tajikistan Zarif Alizoda has visited the Sverdlovsk region of Russia this week. There he participated in the opening of the Ombudsman representative office of Tajikistan in Yekaterinburg.

As said the Ombudsman press office of Tajikistan, Ikbolsho Shabozov was appointed as a representative for the Human Rights Commissioner in the Republic of Tatarstan in Sverdlovsk region. He would continue to protect the rights of Tajik citizens, and first of all the rights of migrant workers in the Sverdlovsk region.

Z. Alizoda participated and spoke at the law-enforcement authorities of the Sverdlovsk region round table, dedicated to the strengthening of relations between the nationalities living in the Ural, and presented I.Shabozova to the participants.

During his stay in Sverdlovsk Z. Alizoda had a meeting with the Ombudsman of the region Tatyana Merzlyakova and vice-governor of the region Yakov Silin, during which they discussed the issues of increasing the cooperation between the parties in the fields of human rights protection.
