DUSHANBE, September 21, 2015, Asia-Plus — Deputies of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament will report to the Majlisi Namoyandagon speaker on the results of their trips to the regions in written form, Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, PMs made trips to the regions from September 8 to September 18.  The reports will focus on problems facing the population

“A survey for the government will be prepared on the basis of these reports,” Sultonov said, noting that preparations for the first post-recess sitting of the second session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fifth convocation are under way.

The first post-recess sitting of the second session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fifth convocation will take place in Dushanbe on October 1, 2015.

Tajikistan’s Parliament (Majlisi Oli) has two chambers: the Assembly of Representatives (Majlisi Namoyandagon) and the National Assembly (Majlisi Milli).  Majlisi Namoyandagon has 63 members, elected for a five-year term in, 22 by proportional representation (party list) and 41 in single-seat constituencies.
