DUSHANBE, September 23, 2015, Asia-Plus — The 11th meeting of the Tajik-Russian working group to study issues related to implementation of a government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan and Russia on labor migration and protection of rights of Tajik nationals in Russia and rights of Russian nationals in Tajikistan took place in Moscow on September 22.  

According to the Tajik migration service agency’s office in Moscow, the meeting participants discussed issues related to implementation of decisions made at the 10th meeting of the group, the process of preparations for signing of a government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan and Russia on readmission, draft agreement on an organized recruitment of labor migrants in Tajikistan, etc.

The meeting participants underlined the importance of work on expansion of labor migration cooperation and protection of rights migrant workers.

The next meeting of the working group will take place in Dushanbe n the second quarter of 2016, the source said.
