Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says Zuhurov and Sergei Naryshkin, Head of the State Duma (Russia’s lower chamber of parliament), discussed issues related to further expansion of parliamentary cooperation between Tajikistan and the Russian Federation.

The two sides reportedly agreed to continue studying experience of each other, exchange parliamentary delegations, and strengthen potentials of their parliamentary friendship groups.

During a meeting with Kabybulla Jakupov, Head of the Majilis (Kazakhstan’s lower house of parliament), Shukurjon Zuhurov reportedly expressed confidence that the forum would promote strengthening of economic ties between the countries of the region.

Zuhurov noted that Tajikistan is interested in further expansion of bilateral cooperation with Kazakhstan, Sultonov said.
