DUSHANBE, October 8, 2015, Asia-Plus – Amendments proposed to the country’s ten laws have been tabled to the agenda of a regular sitting of the second session Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament of the fifth convocation that will take place on October 9.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says parliamentarians will discuss amendments proposed to the laws on public associations, national budget for 2015, licensing separate types of activity, registration of acts of civil status, and state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.

Besides, deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon will discuss amendments proposed to the laws on state duty and other compulsory payments to the budget as well as the tax code and the code on execution of criminal penalties, Sultonov said.

Thus, the draft law on amendments to the law on the national budget for 2015 provides for exempting medical equipment intended for the Poytakht-90 Medical Center from paying customs duties and the value added tax (VAT).

The center, located in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district between the Republican Diagnostic Center and the Sultoni Kabir Market, was finished in early May this year and more than 600 medical workers are expected to work with this medical center.

President Emomali Rahmon laid the cornerstone of a new city hospital with a total of 650 beds and a polyclinic that can handle 800 visitors per shift in Dushanbe on September 6, 2011.
