DUSHANBE, June 20, 2016, Asia-Plus – The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament discussed amendments proposed to the country’s law “On the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan” at a June 20 meeting, presided over by the Majlisi Namoyandagon speaker, Shukurjon Zuhruov.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says the board members also discussed amendments proposed to the country’s laws on the Majlisi Oli (Tajik parliament), legal status of a deputy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon and a member of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper house of parliament), courts, and holidays.

Besides, the board discussed changed and addenda proposed to the country’s laws on export control and the periodical press as well as criminal code, criminal procedure code, customs, code, administrative code, family code, and town-planning code.

The board members also discussed draft laws on fortification of wheat flour, payment services and payment systems, and targeted social aid.  All these draft laws have been prepared by the government.
