DUSHANBE, August 8, 2016, Asia-Plus – At the end ofthe last week, Tajik border guards have reportedly thwarted a group of armed drug traffickers attempting to illegally cross the Tajik-Afghan border in the area patrolled by the Panj border unit.

As a result of skirmish, one of trespassers – Afghan national Abdurahman waladi Amanboy – was reportedly killed and nearly 20 kilograms of hashish and 2.2 kilograms of raw opium were found on the spot.

An investigation into the incident is under the way.
