KHUJAND, August 8, 2016, Asia-Plus — Over the first seven months of this year, 305 corruption-related crimes have been reported in the northern Sughd province, which is 15 cases more than in the same period last year, an official source at the anticorruption agency’s office in Sughd told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, the anticorruption agency’s office in Sughd has conducted 78 inspections over the report period.

“According to the inspections findings, corruption has cost the province 22.1 million somoni over the first seven months of this year,” the source said, noting that 80.5 percent (17.8 million somoni) of the damage has been reimbursed.
