Two young women were killed and one other was injured on July 19 as a car overturned in Sughd province, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.

The accident took place early in the morning not far from “Bahoriston” resort. 

Opel-Astra driven by 23-year-old woman from Khujand overturned  The driver and one of her passengers – 21-year-old woman – were killed, while another passenger – 24-year-old woman – sustained various injuries and was taken to hospital.

The cause of the accident is under way.

According to data from the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan, 225 fatal traffic accidents have been registered in the country over the first six months of this year.
