A resident of Shahrinav district (districts subordinate to the center) has got a lengthy jail term for having contracts with the so-called Islamic State (IS) terror group.

A court in Dushanbe has sentenced Ghani Abdusattorov to fourteen years in prison.  He will serve his term in a high0security penal colony

According to the press center of the Prosecutor-General’s Office, he was arrested by Ukrainian special services and extradited to Tajikistan in February this year.

During the trial, Abdusattorov reportedly admitted that he had been engaged in recruiting his fellow countrymen and citizens of other countries into the IS terror group while living in Ukraine.
