Four persons were killed on August 6 as a car fell into the Yazgulem River in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).

According to the Interior Ministry’s website, the accident took place in the Yazgulem jamoat of Vanj district at around 2:00 pm. 

A rock hit the car moving from the Budun village to the Andarbak-Zhamag village and it fell into the river.

To date, only the body of the driver has been fund.  The search operation for the bodies of three passengers is under way, according to the website.  

According to the statistic data from the Interior Ministry, 591 traffic accidents have been reported in the country over the first six months of this year.  194 people were killed and 623 others were injured in those accidents.
