Dushanbe pensioners aged 75 and over will receive an extra one-off payment of 100.00 somoni on the occasion of Tajikistan’s Independence this year as well.

Rustam Emomali, who replaced Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev in the post of Mayor of Dushanbe, will continue the tradition of making extra one-off payment of 100.00 somoni to local pensioners aged 75 and over on the threshold of Tajikistan’s Independence, which is marked on September 9, according to the Dushanbe mayor’s office.

“By mayor’s decree 9,091 residents of Dushanbe aged 75 and over will receive an extra one-off payment of 100.00 somoni,” said a source in the Dushanbe mayor’s office.  “The Dushanbe budget has earmarked more than one million somoni for that this year.”

Recall, former Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev introduced the tradition of making one-off payments to local pensioners aged 75 and over five years ago.
