Three persons were killed and at least two others were injured in two separate accidents that took place in Vahdat Township, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.

The first accident took place on the Yovon-Vahdat highway near the Gualkindoz village Sunday (October 29) evening at about 8:30 pm.

Resident of the Yovon district Muhammadjon Barotov, 26, reportedly failed to control his Opel-Astra and it fell into precipice.  The driver died on the spot.   

Another accident took on the Dushanbe-Vahdat highway in early morning of October 30 at about 3:30 am. 

Opel-Vectra driven by Fayzobod resident Sanginmurod Yorov, 28, collided with heavy truck KamAz driven by Amriddin Salimzoda, 26.  

As the result of the collision, Yorov and his passenger Zokir Ghulomov, 34, died on the spot, while two other passengers – Zafar Ghulomov, 38, and Ghairatsho Ghulomov, 17 – sustained various injuries and were taken to the Vahdat central hospital.
