A month-long training course for welding instructors working with adult education centers and technical vocational schools concluded at the Labor and Employment Agency at the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan on February 14.

Upon the completion of the training course the students were awarded a certificate.  Besides, an exhibition of products manufactured by the course participants was organized upon the completion of the training.

According to press release issue by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), the certificate award ceremony was attended by Emin Sanginzoda, First Deputy Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan, Abdusalom Mirzozoda, Deputy Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan, Ali Rifat Köksal, Turkey’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, Tarik Mete, TIKA Program Coordinator in Tajikistan, Bobokhon Barotzoda, Director of the Agency for Labor and employment of the Population, as well as representatives of international organizations active in Tajikistan and media.  

The training was organized by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in the framework of the job placement and employment program (MESIP).

Theoretical and practical trainings were conducted at the welding workshop that was built by TIKA in 2012.  Equipment and expendable materials have been provided by TIKA.

The refresher training was organized for 32 welding instructors from all regions of Tajikistan.  Three experts from Turkey reportedly trained them in new methods of welding and engineering drawing.

A joint activity of TIKA and the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan aims at promoting reduction in unemployment in the country.  Adult education centers have been established in various regions of Tajikistan. 

Established in 1992, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) is a government department of the Prime Ministry of Turkey.  TİKA is responsible for organization of the bulk of Turkey's official development assistance to developing countries.
