 President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Khorog today as part of his working trip to GBAO. Here he gave start to the construction of a new building of the Chorog City Hall, the press service of the head of state reports.

 The new building of the municipality of Khorog will be seven-storey, it will be built on the territory of one hectare, the building will have 150 workrooms, a conference hall for 400 seats.

 Near the main building of the mayoralty will be built heating boiler room, warehouses, garages, transformer substation. Around the building will be built fountains, public gardens, alleys.

 The head of state urged the builders of the facility to perform the work qualitatively and effectively using the allocated funds.

 In Khorog, the president also opened a building where a company of a separate military unit of the Interior Ministry troops in Gorny Badakhshan will be stationed.

 During the meeting with the personnel of the company of internal troops stationed in Khorog, Emomali Rahmon called on the leadership of the special forces and all branches of the armed forces and law enforcement officials to exercise political vigilance and always be on guard for the Motherland, intensify fight against challenges and threats of the modern world.
