A delegation of Tajik Justice Ministry, led by First Deputy Minister of Justice Abdumannon Kholiqzoda, arrived in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent yesterday on a working visit.  The main purpose of the visit is for the Tajik delegation to discuss cooperation with Uzbek colleagues.

On the same day, members of the Tajik delegation met with Mahmoud Istamov, Deputy Minister of Justice of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was reportedly held within the framework of an agreement on cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries that was signed in Tashkent on August 18 this year during Tajik President Emomali Rahmon’s state visit to Uzbekistan.

In the course of the talks, the two sides discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation on formation and implementation of national legal policy, organization of activities of justice bodies, notary officers and attorneys, as well as training of personnel, according to the press center of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan.

The visit of the Tajik delegation to Uzbekistan will last until December 1.  While in Uzbekistan, members of the Tajik delegation will also visit the cities of Bukhara and Samarqand to get acquainted with activities of the Center for Public Services in Bukhara and Notary Services Office # 3 and People's Reception Office of the Uzbek President in Samarqand.
