By president’s decree issued on November 20 Hokim Kholiqzoda, who had previously served as Deputy Head of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), was appointed to head the NBT replacing Jamshed Nourmuhammadzoda, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

Jamshed Nourmuhammadzoda was relieved of his post of Head of the National Bank of Tajikistan in connection with transfer to other job.         

Jamshed Nourmuhammadzoda had served as head of Tajikistan’s central bank since May 4, 2017.  

Besides, Hamidullo Mahmadulo was relieved of his post of Deputy Head of the National Bank of Tajikistan in connection with transfer to other job.  

Hokim Kholiqzoda was born on July 27, 1973.  He graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Tajik National University and the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation.  Kholiqzoda has a scientific degree of Candidate of Sciences in Economics. 

In 2015 – 2020, Kholiqzoda was member of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament (Majlisi Oli). 

Kholiqzoda is member of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan (PDPT)
