Tajikistan completed the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris with three bronze medals. They were won by judoists Timur Rakhimov in the weight category over 100 kg and Somon Makhmadbekov in the weight of 82 kg, as well as boxer Davlat Boltaev in the weight category of 92 kg. The Tajik team took 79th place in the overall standings.

A total of 329 sets of medals in 32 sports were awarded at the Olympics. 10.5 thousand athletes from 206 Olympic teams from different countries, as well as individual athletes with a neutral status, took part in the Games.

The USA took the first place in the medal standings, which snatched victory on the last day of the Olympics by winning gold in the women's basketball tournament.

Athletes from the USA have 40 gold, 44 silver and 42 bronze medals (126 awards in total). The Chinese national team took 2nd place, winning 40 gold, 27 silver and 24 bronze medals (91 in total).

The third place was taken by the Japanese team (20+12+13=45). Australia (18-19-16) and France (16-26-22) also entered the top five in the medal standings.

How much are the bronze medals of Tajik athletes?

All medals of the 2024 Olympics have a diameter of 85 mm and a thickness of 9.2 mm. In the center of each of the 5084 medals is a hexagonal piece of iron from the Eiffel Tower, enclosed in a special frame, writes Forbes

The Olympic gold medal weighs 529 grams, more than 95.4% of its weight (505 g) is silver. The medal is covered with 6 grams of pure gold, and 18 grams consists of iron.
