KULOB, June 11, Asia-Plus — A dual killing was committed in Khatlon’s Kulob district on June 9.
According to the Kulob prosecutor Nasrullo Mahmoudov, the preliminary investigation has established that the 26-year-old resident of the village of Korezi Bolo in the Ziraki jamoat, Kulob district Qurbonali Abdurahmonov stroke his wife, 25-year-old Mehri Sharipova, with axe following family quarrel. He also stabbed his sister-in-law, 21-year-old Salomat Mahmoudova, who came running to know what happened.
Mehri Sharipova died at the scene of crime, while Salomat Mahmoudova died in hospital next day, the prosecutor said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Qurbonali Abdurahmonov and an investigation is under way.
