DUSHANBE, May 2, Asia-Plus — Officers from the Khatlon security directorate detained Afghan trafficker in the Panj district with a large amount of heroin yesterday, Asia-Plus has learned at the public relations center within the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
The 40-year-old Afghan national Nusratullo valadi Nematullo was detained when he was illegally crossing the border river late Thursday, and kit-bag containing more than six kilograms of heroin was confiscated from him, the source said.
Criminal proceedings have been instated against Nusratullo valadi Nematullo and an investigation is under way. He faces charges of being involved in drug trafficking and illegally crossing the border
