Uzbekistan receives 13 million kW/h of Tajik electricity daily, Afghanistan – 10 million kW/h.
«Kabul pays 3.8 cents for each kW/h, Tashkent – 2.5 cents», – said a source in the economic bloc of the government of Tajikistan. – Uzbekistan receives Tajik electricity relatively cheaply because Tashkent made big discounts on natural gas supplied to Tajikistan».
According to him, after the launch of the second unit of the Rogun hydropower plant, which is expected in early September, Tajikistan will significantly increase the supply of electricity to Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
