Tajik Ambassador to Ukraine Davlatali Nazrizoda on March 4 met in Kyiv with Ukrainian Minister for Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Ihor Petrashko, according to the Tajik Embassy in Kyiv.  

The two sides reportedly discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Ukraine. 

Sectors like agriculture, industry, energy, investment, transportation, and tourism were outlined as areas, which could drive the bilateral trade between the two countries.  

Nazrizoda and Petrashko also discussed the progress of implementation of a protocol signed at the 5th session of the Tajik-Ukrainian joint intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation and preparations for the next session of the commission that will take place this year in Dushanbe. 

The two sides also touched upon the issue of resumption of regular air traffic between the capitals of the two countries.   

Meanwhile, the press center of the Ukrainian Ministry for Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture notes that Ukraine is interested in further expansion of trade and economic cooperation with Tajikistan.
