Police officers have solved three family homicides committed in the country on November 9 and October 17 – one of the murders was committed in Khaton province and two others were committed in Sughd province, according to the Interior Ministry’s official website.    

In Darkad jamoat of Farkhor district in Khatlon province, a 31-year-old woman inflicted two stab wounds on her 55-year-old mother-in-law following a family quarrel on November 9, at around 11:00 am.  The elderly woman died of her wounds on the way to a hospital.

Another domestic homicide took place on the same day in Bobojon-Ghafouov district of the northern province of Sughd at round 4:00 pm.  A 27-year-old resident of Unji village killed his 25-year-old wife, inflicting 13 stab wounds on here following family quarrel.   

Another family homicide too place in Sughd’s Spitamen district in the night of October 17, at around 11:30 pm.  A 45-year-old resident of Kurush village hit his 32-year-old wife with a stone several times following a family scandal.  The woman died on the spot.
