A temporary restriction on the movement of citizens and vehicles has been established at the Jarteppa checkpoint on the border with Tajikistan. This is reported by the online edition daryo.uz with reference to the regional customs department.

The reason for the temporary closure of the border customs post is explained by the overhaul of the checkpoint buildings and the improvement of the territory in order to create greater comfort for passengers.

According to the publication, the restriction applies to both citizens and vehicles.

" The exception is:

– employees of diplomatic services and international organizations,

– members of official (state) delegations,

– employees of foreign organizations operating as part of the implementation of investment projects,

– drivers who carry out international cargo transportation,

– citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan returning to their country

– third-country nationals traveling to Tajikistan," the publication reports.
