One person was killed and four others injured on December 5 as Lexus RX350 SUV fell off a bridge into water not far Vahdat Township, the Emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan says.

The accident reportedly took place in the Karim Ismoilov jamoat.  A 40-year-old resident of Nourodobod district apparently lost control of his Lexus RX350 and it fell off the bridge into the Elok River.

The RX 350 is a two-row luxury Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) with five seats

As a result of the accident, a 69-yearold passenger died on the spot, while four others sustained various injuries and were taken to the Vahdat city hospital.

The Emergencies Committee reminds citizens of the country that “due to the deterioration of weather conditions roads remain icy, especially in mountain areas, and there is high risk of avalanches, rockfalls and landslides.”

Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry official website says Lexus RX350 was involved in the accident in the Karim Ismoilov jamoat.

Lexus RX 330 is a mid-size crossover SUV seating five passengers.  It is the smallest SUV in the Lexus lineup.

The accident reportedly took place in the morning, at 8:30 am.

As a result of the accident, the 69-year-old resident of Vahdat Township, Tohir Zaybuddinov sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

The cause of the accident is under way.
