DUSHANBE, April 16, 2010, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon who is also head of the Government of Tajikistan has introduced a number of staff changes in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

Ms. Latofat Sharifova, member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) of the third convocation, was appointed Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection, replacing Subhiddin Ashourov, according to presidential press service.

Mr. Timur Tabarov was also appointed Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection.

Mr. Nourullo Mahamdulloyev, formerly head of the State Service for Labor, Employment and Social Protection Supervision, was appointed to head the State Agency for Social Protection, Employment and Migration.  He was replaced by Mr. Navrouz Samadov, who had previously been deputy head of the legal department within President’s Executive Office.
