DUSHANBE, March 27, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Chairman of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Sharif Said met here yesterday with South Korea’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Ro Sen-min (phonetically spelled), according to the CCI press service.

The sides discussed issues related to further expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries as well as establishment of efficient relations between CCIs of Tajikistan and South Korea.

Said outlined sectors like energy, mining, light industry, agriculture, construction, education, health care, telecommunications and tourism as areas of which could drive the bilateral trade between the two countries.  He especially invited Korean investments in hydropower and farm produce processing sector.

Sahrif Said also offered Mr. Ro Sen-min to organize a conference of representatives of the business communities of the two countries in the enar future.  

Korean envoy invited Tajik CCI head to attend a session of the Organizing Committee for EXPO 2012 Yeosu Korea that would take place in the Korean city of Yeosu from April 8-10 this year.
