DUSHANBE, March 5, 2010, Asia-Plus — German corporation, The Bosch Group, intends to open its representative office in Dushanbe before the end of this year.
An agreement on this subject was reached here yesterday at a meeting of Tajik Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov with Mr. Rudolf Kolm, member of the Bosch Board of Management, and Ms. Rene Schlegel, Head of Robert Bosch in Russia, according to presidential press service.
The purpose of the visit was for the Bosch delegation to present the corporation activities to the government of Tajikistan, get acquainted with priorities of cooperation, assess opportunities of potential cooperation and coordinate further steps, the source said.
In the course of the talks, Tajik prime minister noted that Tajikistan was ready for cooperation with the German corporation and interested in launch of joint ventures with regard to the markets of Central Asia and Afghanistan.
The sides agreed to organize presentation of the Bosch products in Tajikistan during this year.
Robert Bosch GmbH is a technology-based corporation which was founded by Robert Bosch in Stuttgart, Germany in 1886. The subsidiary Bosch Rexroth produces hydraulic, electric, and pneumatic machinery for applications ranging from automotive to mining.
