DUSHANBE, August 4, 2012, Asia-Plus — On Saturday August 4, President Emomali Rahmon visited the Yovon district in the southern Khatlon province.
The president’s official website says the purpose of the working visit was for the head of state to get acquainted with the current socioeconomic situation in the area.
During his stay in Yovon, Rahmon also visited the site for construction of the cement plant, Huasin Gayur Cement.
This Tajik-Chinese joint venture with rated capacity of 1 million tons of cement per year is expected to be put into operation by August 2013. The estimated budget for construction of this cement plant is 100 million U.S. dollars, the source said.
