QURGHON TEPPA, April 20, Asia-Plus – 119 industrial enterprises have to date operated in Khatlon province, the Khatlon governor Amirsho Miraliyev announced at a news conference in Qurghon Teppa on April 18.  

According to him, three industrial enterprises in the region, which had previously stood idle, have begun operating in the first quarter of the year.  

Speaking to journalists, Miraliyev said that industrial enterprises in the region had produced goods worth 169.273 million Somonis since the beginning of the year, which was 120,000 more than in January-March 2005. 

According to him, sowing campaign in the region is underway and cotton growers have sown with cotton 120,000 hectares as of April 17, which is 30 percent than last year.
