.  Deputy Kyrgyz Emergencies Minister, Bolot Aidaraliyev, who has accompanied the convoy, has noted that the emergency aid includes 10 tons of wheat flour, 45,000 tins of braised meat, 3,000 sheets of slate, and 8,000 square meters of DVP (material for laying floors).  The amount of the aid delivered is 3.5 million Soms (equivalent to US$900,000), according to him.

’s President Kurmanbek Bakiyev and is a gesture of good will to provide assistance to fraternal Tajik people,” Kyrgyz deputy emergencies minister said.  

According to him, under an agreement reached between the two countries

’s Minister of Emergency Situations (MES) coordinating disaster relief will bring the delivered to the place of destination.  

Deputy Tajik Emergencies Minister, Islom Usmonov, has noted that the delivered aid was loaded from Kyrgyz trucks on to Tajik trucks and the convoy will depart Khujand today morning.  The convoy with Kyrgyz aid is supposed to arrive in the quake-hit areas in two days, according to him.
