DUSHANBE, October 8, Asia-Plus  — Three persons were killed and two others were injured Sunday as a sedan Mercedes fell into precipice in the Danghara district, Asia-Plus has learned at Tajik traffic police directorate.

Habibullo Munavvarov, a spokesman for the Tajik traffic police, said that the accident took place yesterday evening on the Shar-Shar pass.  “Namoz Buydoqov, who as driving the car could not control it and the car fell into precipice,” said the spokesman, “As a result of the accident, Buydoqov, his wife and a 6-year-old daughter died and their two sons received wounds and were taken to the central district in Danghara.”

A day before this, four persons were killed and three others were wounded in the traffic accident on the Shahriston pass in the Sughd province.  A car NIVA with six passengers on board fell into 800-meter precipice, the spokesman said.  The driver and three passengers died and three other passengers received serious wounds and were taken to the Shahriston hospital.  

In all, 42 traffic accidents were registered in Tajikistan last week.  14 persons were killed and 49 others were injured in those 42 accidents.
