DUSHANBE, October 25, 2008 Asia-Plus  — On Friday October 24, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev met here with his Russian counterpart, Chairman of the Federation Council (Russia’s upper chamber of parliament) Sergey Mironov.   

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the Majlisi Milli speaker, said that in the course of the talks, Ubaidulloyev and Mironov agreed to establish control over implementation of decisions made at ongoing the Third Tajik-Russian Inter-parliament Forum “Tajikistan-Russia: Potential of Interregional Cooperation.”
