KHOROG, November 24, 2008, Asia-Plus — The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) has set a traffic schedule for the highway from Khorog to Dushanbe via Kulob, according to Pomirnaqliyot (GBAO state transportation company).

We will recall that since the Khaburabad Pass in GBAO’s Darvoz district, linking Khorog and Dushanbe via the Rasht Valley, is now closed for traffic, vehicles currently move from Khorog to Dushanbe via Kulob.

The traffic schedule has been set in accordance of construction work carried out by Iran’s Saber International on the Shogun-Zighar section of the road Kulob-Darvoz.  

In accordance with the schedule, this section is open for traffic only 3.5 hours per day – 1.5 hours in the morning (6:00-7:30), thirty minute in the afternoon (12:00-12:30) and 1.5 hours in the evening (18:00-19:30).
