DUSHANBE, February 23, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) is ready to assist Tajikistan with enhancement of training for labor migrants organized at Tajikistan’s vocational-technical schools, according to the Interior Ministry Migration Service.

The Migration Service chief Safiullo Devonayev yesterday met here with Ms. Irina Klausch, GTZ consultant.  Directors of the Dushanbe-based vocation-technical schools ## 30 and 66 also attended the meeting, the source at the Migration Service said.

According to him, Ms. Klausch noted that GTZ was ready to support that initiative and assist with development of training for labor migrant at vocational-technical schools.

Devonayev, for his part, noted that short-term training courses had been organized for labor migrants at a number of vocational-technical schools.  He noted that to improve the training process it was necessary to strengthen material and technical basis of those vocational-technical schools and introduce new program and language courses.
