DUSHANBE, April 21, 2010, Asia-Plus  — A delegation of Russia’s Penza region, led by the deputy governor, Yuri Bykov, is currently in Dushanbe to establish cooperation with Tajik enterprises.

The delegation members include regional administrators and senior representatives of the Penza enterprises such as Radiozavod, Elektropribor, Penzatyazzhpromarmatura, Biosintez, and Yumirs.  The purpose of the visit is for the Penza entrepreneurs to conclude contracts with Tajik officials on delivery of their products to Tajikistan.

On April 20, the delegation met with senior representatives of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).  The sides discussed opportunities of further expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and the Penza region that were established in 2006 already, the CCI press service said.

Yesterday, the delegation also met with representatives from Tajik business community to discuss areas that could drive the bilateral trade between Tajikistan and the Penza region.

 Today, the Penza delegation members are meeting with senior representative from the ministries of economic development and trade, interior, transport and communications, education, defense, health, agriculture as well the agency for construction and architecture and the committee for emergency situations.
