DUSHANBE, May 4, 2010, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon yesterday held a meeting to discuss measures to mitigate effects of natural disasters, according to presidential press service.
The meeting participants included senior representatives from the government and president’s office as well as heads of relevant ministries and departments.
Rahmon ordered heads of relevant ministries and Khatlon authorities to take urgent measure to mitigate effects of heavy rains and mudflows that hit the Vose district last month regional.
