DUSHANBE, May 4, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Issues related to cooperation between Tajikistan and the World Health Organization (WHO) were a major topic of a meeting of President Emomali Rahmon with Ms. Suzanne Jacob, Director the WHO Regional Office, which took place in Dushanbe Monday, presidential press service said.

Ms. Jacob noted that the purpose of the visit was for her to discuss issues related to prevention of spread of polio in Tajikistan and expansion of further cooperation between WHO and Tajikistan.

In the curse of the talks, the sides expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation between Tajikistan and World Health Cooperation.
