QURGHON TEPPA, March 13, 2012, Asia-Plus  — A fire that broke out at Qurghon Teppa’s Farovon Bazaar Tuesday morning destroyed some 100 shops.

An official source at the Qurghon Teppa police department says they received a call of the fire at the Farovon Bazaar at 11:30 am.  “Practically all officers from the Qurghon Teppa police department as well as officers from the police station in the Bokhtar district were involved in extinguishing the fire,” he said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.  A special commission has been set up to assess the actual damage caused to the bazaar by the fire
